Virginia Commonwealth University, located in Richmond,
Va., consists of two campuses just minutes apart.
The Monroe Park Campus is nestled in the historic
Fan District, and the MCV Campus is established among
downtown’s
high-rises.
With a continuously increasing student body, VCU is
currently comprised of more than 31,000 students and
houses the College of Humanities and Sciences (including
the L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public
Affairs and the schools of Mass Communications and
World Studies) and the schools of Allied Health Professions,
Arts, Business, Dentistry, Education, Engineering,
Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy and Social Work. The university
offers
181 undergraduate, graduate, professional and certificate
programs, several of which are nationally ranked.
Many of VCU’s programs are the only ones of their
kind offered in the commonwealth of Virginia.
Richmond, the capital of Virginia since 1779, is a
thriving metropolitan city consisting of a diverse

of Fortune 500 companies, government offices and an
inspiring arts and culture scene. Encompassing such
a rich history, Richmond displays cobblestone streets,
brick sidewalks and several architectural periods
in homes and buildings throughout the city.
A prime location, Richmond is no more than a few hours
drive from the Blue Ridge Mountains, Virginia Beach
and Washington, D.C.
