Alice J. Berman, M.S., C.R.C, C.R.P., L.P.C.

Alice J. Berman is the clinical coordinator in the Department of Rehabilitation Counseling at Virginia Commonwealth University. She currently advises students in internship and practicum, and those pursuing the Licensed Professional Counselor credential. She received her undergraduate degree in Humanities at the University of Minnesota and her master's degrees in Recreation Management,specializing in wellness programming,and Rehabilitation Counseling from Virginia Commonwealth University. Prior to this position Alice worked for the Virginia Department of Rehabilitative Services. She served as a rehabilitation counselor and TANF program coordinator, and with several community agencies as a substance abuse clinician and career counselor. She has specialized training in leadership, and has been a personnel and management consultant. She has special interests in disability as it impacts employment, neuroscience, and mind-body medicine.
